“Soul Garden” är titeln på mitt debutalbum som släpptes nu i september. Det är också titeln på en av låtarna på albumet. Den handlar om den trädgård som finns i vårt inre. Där växer alla slags blommor och träd, bildligt talat, och där finns fåglar som flyger, om vi matar dem.
Jag skrev låten under en period för inte så länge sedan, då jag hade nära kontakt med en medmänniska som brottades med depression. Den kom tema för tema, bit för bit. Texten skrev sig nästan själv, den kom från mitt hjärta. När jag var klar läste jag igenom texten och insåg att den handlar om en deprimerad människa, en människa som har det svårt och som ser tillvaron i svart, vilket vi ju alla kan göra då och då i livet. Låten blev, utan att jag planerat det, en tröstande sång om att det finns hopp och glädje, trots att vi inte alltid kan se det. Vår inre trädgård går att vårda, där finns frön som kan växa upp om vi vattnar dem. Frön av glädje och mening.
